Artist's Statement

My work is a celebration of symbols. Think of ancient hieroglyphics and how they depict civilization before our time. We have unique characters that represent who we are and how we live. Take, for example, the @ symbol, in the future this powerful image will serve as a cultural marker synonymous with communication, entertainment, and education in today's world. We have many similar examples that uniquely define our culture. These representational symbols, celebrated in my work, serve as a higher language, as they break all geographical barriers and are the foundation for my art.
